And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Originally a Rubbermaid design. A bit pricey. The hooks shown aren't very good, but there are other styles that work. A case of "OK if you don't mind the cost".
Ditto - good idea - bad execution.

My Dad taught me to drill an 1/8” hole at an angle near the end of the handle and hang them on a finishing nail.
ReplyDeleteYou know what works the best and only costs a couple dollars?
ReplyDeleteA piece of 1"x2" PT lumber screwed to the wall, with 3" finish nails installed every 6" along the length.
Then, drill 1/4" holes close to the end of all the handles.
Has been working perfectly for me for more than 40 years.
Or, like I've been doing, just stack them all in a corner.
DeleteA big metal trash can works too.
DeleteThat style tends to drop tools on the floor. Better to a use hook for each tool.
ReplyDeleteI have something like this in my garage. It does not work very well. As greggBC indicates, the heavy tools slip and drop to the floor.

DeleteWe have one in our small, 10' x 12' greenhouse but not that long. Very handy.
ReplyDeleteI like the finish nail and 1/4 inch hole idea.
