  1. Ditto - good idea - bad execution.

  2. My Dad taught me to drill an 1/8” hole at an angle near the end of the handle and hang them on a finishing nail.

  3. You know what works the best and only costs a couple dollars?

A piece of 1"x2" PT lumber screwed to the wall, with 3" finish nails installed every 6" along the length.

Then, drill 1/4" holes close to the end of all the handles.

Has been working perfectly for me for more than 40 years.

    1. Or, like I've been doing, just stack them all in a corner.

    2. A big metal trash can works too.

  4. That style tends to drop tools on the floor. Better to a use hook for each tool.

    1. I have something like this in my garage. It does not work very well. As greggBC indicates, the heavy tools slip and drop to the floor.

    2. Originally a Rubbermaid design. A bit pricey. The hooks shown aren't very good, but there are other styles that work. A case of "OK if you don't mind the cost".

  5. We have one in our small, 10' x 12' greenhouse but not that long. Very handy.

  6. I like the finish nail and 1/4 inch hole idea.
