And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
no shit ! bought a bi turbo couple end of lease for 6500 back in 93.. insurance was close to 2 grand a year on it ? back then even. my insurance guy was cool and told me it was covered under my old policy for a month before the rates went up. so, have fun for 25 days or so and sell it ! which I did. fixed a few things on it and drove it a bit before getting close to 10 grand for it. fun car. had a 911 in the past, great car but little to no space to pack "stuff' in it. again, insurance was unreal on it.
The Alfa Romeo. I'm starting to appreciate cars where the only micro-processor is in the radio. The Maserati is beautiful but I'd be scared to drive it given how many lunatics are on the roads. Al_in_Ottawa
Green Targa all the way! Nice upgrade to my base Carrera that’s Rainforest Green Metallic. Keep looking to replace it, but can’t give up the unique color.
One time when I was young and fairly broke I got to take a friends new 911 for a spin. I handed him back the keys and said "I can't even afford to borrow that car!".
No way to lose, just send me the one no one else wants….
ReplyDeleteMaserati every time.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteRoger that.
DeleteMe too.
DeleteI'll take the Alfa, more affordable to run as an every day car.
ReplyDeleteNone, rather have a old pickup truck.
ReplyDeleteBlue!
ReplyDeleteAlfa. No contest.
ReplyDeleteWorked on too many exotics to want one. I'd rather have something I could drive anywhere, at anytime.
ReplyDeleteThe Targa, then.
DeleteUh no. the only cars worse than german cars are british.cars.
DeleteNo thank you. The insurance would most likely break the bank. I am happy with my 2013 Toyota Tacoma with its 160,000 miles.

I'll take the Maseraty and can you throw in one of the old Jeeps you keep finding ?
ReplyDeleteThe Targa
ReplyDeleteTarga. It'd be my 3rd Porsche, if you can call a '71 Porsche.914 1.6L one. Miss my 2014 Cayenne Diesel.
ReplyDeleteSorry but no one calls a 914 a Porche...it's a VW.
DeleteUnless it was the 914-6. Both an absolute bitch to work on through the "trap door"

ReplyDeleteI have a Pacific Blue Jag, have same problem with the color.
DeleteSpin
I want the blue one. I don't know what any of them are really but I've never trashed a museum piece before, only regular ones.

ReplyDeleteWhichever one I could sell for the most $$$.
ReplyDeleteAlfa. Always.
ReplyDeleteYep. It's beautiful to look at, a wheeled Sophia Loren, and that one looks to have been sorted. It will be a nice drive.
DeleteToo bad there aren't any 427 cobras.
