  2. Those islands are all that's left of the mainland there..
    Left of the landing pad are the booms for hoisting stuff off of boats, that had to be exciting from the boat side.
    I'm guessing it's automated now, I wonder how far back it was when they had it manned?

    1. I've landed on Mile Rocks Lighthouse off San Francisco a few times in a CG helo. This one reminds me of that.
